JLU Willie’s stuck in some deep mud

Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 5:25 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Texas. The requester, Michael Laforce , submitted the following information: “Jeep wrangler JLU Willie’s stuck in some deep mud up on the right side. Decided not to go forward or winch out
the depth of the mud. Just need help getting winched out or some guidance. I can cover the fee to the park entry and gas

/ I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”

Our administrator, David Mrak, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 20-mile radius.

From the group of contacted local volunteers we had Jack Chandler marking himself as standing-by, since he was available to come help the following day in the morning.

Luckily, Michael managed to get himself out by himself. Which is great. He had already access to our lobby so he kept us informed. We closed the request right away.

We want to express our gratitude to Jack for offering assistance. As always, while some requests may not require a volunteer on the field, knowing that we have people willing to help is truly remarkable.
