F250 buried to the frame in sand

Saturday, August 31st, 2024, at 11:18 a.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Texas. The requester, Gary Lang, submitted the following information: “Ford F250 4wd Lariet is approximately 300 feet from solid ground… it’s close to the river and buried / I’m with the vehicle“

Immediately after the request arrived, we contacted Gary and confirmed the location and situation while getting the request ready for local volunteers within a 45-mile radius.

We had a bunch of volunteers responding to this request and trying to network to find local help. An hour later, the vehicle was recovered. Luckily, the requester, Gary, came across Scott McKnight, a passerby who happened to be his cousin, and he was able to pull him out with no problem.

We want to thank Scott but also all the other volunteers who responded to the call and networked to try to find help. Awesome job, everybody. (offroad recovery in Texas)
