k2500 buried in sand

Monday, January 5th, 2026, at 2:52 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Oklahoma. The requester, Daniel Adams, submitted the following information: “k2500 buried in sand. 6” lift 33” tires. 4w diff died on trip / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”

Our administrator, David Mrak, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 55-mile radius.

Kevin Cox, a local volunteer, was marking himself as engaging. He was 70 miles away and, before driving over, he coordinated with the requester. However, just as he was about to start driving, the requester encountered a local passerby who was able to assist him in getting out of the situation.

We want to express our gratitude to Kevin for offering assistance and for being willing to drive such a long distance to help Daniel. Like always our volunteers are amazing.
