The request submitted: “We are stuck on Pine mountain road NF-2017 heading up to pine mountain observatory, I’m in a white Toyota Land Cruiser and don’t have the appropriate recovery gear to get out. My vehicle is got in a ditch with deep snow but the road condition is not terrible. I have a snatch strap a fixed strap and a come along. We received this request at around 2:00 p.m. (PST), on Thursday, March 27th, 2023. The requester was Isabelle Langley. The location was near the Pine Mountain Observatory in Central Oregon.
We verified the location, contact the requester and asked for some photos. Once the information was all on our system the ticket was submitted to our volunteers.
At 2:10 p.m. the ticket was opened to volunteers. By 3:00 p.m., Clive Watson, a local volunteer took over the recovery, contacted the requester and by 5:00 p.m. he got them out safe and sound.
