Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, at 5:22 p.m. (MT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Arizona. The requester, Francisco Lamas, submitted the following information: “Toyota Scion TC 2014 black, stuck in a water puddle / I’m not with the vehicle”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 15-mile radius.
In this instance, two volunteers, Tom Feore and Paul Granata, were actively engaged in the process. They were preparing to assist Francisco by contacting him and initiating the rescue operation. However, we experienced a brief loss of connection with the requester. Upon reconnecting, the requester informed us that he had successfully pushed the vehicle out of the water and was currently awaiting a tow truck.
We still want to thank all those volunteers who answered the call for help and specially Tom and Paul who were getting ready to go help at a moment notice.
