Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, at 9:03 a.m. (MT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Wyoming. The requester, Jay Wile, submitted the following information: “Bike won’t start. I’m in the middle of nowhere. I know you aren’t a tow company. Just wondering if anyone could bring a truck ramp and straps. The bike is a heavy adventure bike. 450 pounds. / I’m with the vehicle.”
Once we verified the information provided, like GPS coordinates and situation, we started looking for local volunteers within a 90-mile radius.
By 10:00 a.m., Jay had a local volunteer, Brynn, on his way to help. By contacting local towing companies, they were able to network and find him help.
We also had volunteers offering to help in the afternoon or the following day. We want to thank everybody who offered help and those who, even by networking, helped him recover, especially Brynn, who got the job done.
