Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at 5:42 a.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Texas. The requester, Josh H, submitted the following information: “Blue dodge ram 1500 4×4. Wife Slid into a ditch, tried to get it out but the mud is like quick sand and just sunk and now it’s stuck real good. I’m right down the street two houses to the left sitting at my house but I can be with the vehicle whenever it’s needed / I’m not with the vehicle”
Our administrator, David Mrak, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 25-mile radius.
From the group of volunteers we contacted, two individuals took over the recovery process and teamed up to assist Josh, Jack Chandler, and Zachary Parry. An hour later we got an update from Zachary, “Everything went well. Pulled him put backwards and it came right out.”, we also got a quick note from Jack: “Zach is a good recovery partner for sure. Thanks.”
We appreciate both volunteers for helping with this recovery. You guys are awesome.
