Saturday, February 24th, 2024, at 2:49 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Texas. The requester, Brianna Jackson, submitted the following information: “2014 Ram 1500, There are trees and bushes on both sides of the truck. The trail is pretty narrow, so the recovery vehicle may not be able to go around my truck to hook onto the front / I’m not with the vehicle.”
They walked about an hour away from the truck to find a cell signal. In this area we have around a dozen volunteers within a 50-mile radius.
Within a few minutes, and even though volunteers were pretty far away, we had volunteers offering to drive 90 minutes to go help out.
Luckily the requester came across a group of jeeps headed toward their stuck vehicle. They were able to recover the vehicle. We appreciate their help and our volunteers’ help in responding to this request. (offroad recovery in Texas 4×4 rescue)
