Wednesday, August 13rd, 2025, at 5:29 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in California. The requester, Kyle Phillips, submitted the following information: “Its my jeep. I came across them. Jeep stuck off side of road. 2 winches needed at least. No recovery gear onsite. There is no cell service onsite. I am not the owner. I drove down to trail head for service for the request / I’m with the vehicle”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 20-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers we had Kevin Daxon, offering to go rescue who ever was stranded for the night. While we were trying to find help with daylight to execute the recovery.

The following day, we learned, Debi Lynn and Jaysun Kluey got a hold of the Jeep owner that was stuck and they both headed over to help.
Debi later sent us some photos we shared below and a quick note.
From Debi
We recovered the jeep off of the edge but had to daisy chain him down the 3+ miles down the mountain. Key fob somehow broke last night and jeep wouldn’t stay on.
We stayed with the owner’s father at the bottom of the trail while we wait for a mobile key fob person.

It was myself and Jayson Kluey from Inland Empire 4×4 Recovery along with the help from the first guy who asked for help in the first place, Kyle Phillips. He was initially just passing by on his motorcycle and stopped to help last night. He’s a cool guy
As always, we want to thank the volunteers involved. You guys are amazing. Debi and Jayson, you guys saved the day. Great work.
