On Sunday, Igi and a group of friends were coming back from the famous Cedar Tree trail in Browns Camp. The trail conditions were pretty bad, and many vehicles had run digging the typical burrows even deeper.
Igi, driving his Jeep Wrangler JL hit pretty hard and ended up braking the steering knuckle, a lower ball joint, and his driver-side front axle.
They dragged the vehicle next to the iconic cedar tree and had to leave it for the night.
The recovery was organized for the following day. Monday in the afternoon, a group of 4 vehicles headed up there. We arrived around 3:45 p.m. The mechanic, Bob, did a fantastic job. He got the rig ready to drive on his own in about one hour and a half.
We installed some available chains since the road was extremely icy in most parts. And by 6 p.m. we started our slow crawl down to the entrance of Browns Camp, where a flat trailer was awaiting.
Here are some photos of the event.
