July 22nd, 2023, at 1:49 p.m. (EDT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery submitted from Indiana. The requester, Ashley Allman, submitted the following information and location: “The truck is Chevy 1500 it’s stuck in the mud sorta on the edge of a field / I’m with the vehicle“
Our local administrator for the area, David Mrak, handled the request and verified the contact information, and location. Once everything was correct, he submitted the request to local volunteers.
Of the local volunteers contacted, one took over the recovery, Sam Wilson. He was an hour north of the location. He coordinated in our chatroom with the requester directly and by 6:12 p.m., the truck was free,
