Thursday, May 7th, 2026, at 5:35 p.m. (ET), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Pennsylvania. The requester, Nikolay Ataev, submitted the following information: “F150 Stuck in the mud off of Montage Rd / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 25-mile radius.
From the group of local contacted volunteers we had Nicholas Kaminski taking over the recovery. Nicholas was about 20 miles away. Within the hour he was on his way. We also had Rob Soden offering help.
We later learned Nicholas made it and was able to get the requester out without trouble. He later sent us some photos and a quick note we share below.

Winching worked better in this case because of the weight difference of the vehicles. I recommend having multiple ways of self recovery and hitting the trails with a buddy!
