2010 GMC sierra stuck in snow

Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at 8:03 p.m. (MT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Idaho. The requester, Krissi Clevenger, submitted the following information: “2010 GMC sierra stuck in snow. Son on hunting trip – truck stuck in snow/mud. No cell service. Used Garmin to contact me. On way up to Jackson Peak in Boise National Forest on Pikes Fork Rd. We appreciate any help and will reimburse!! Thank you in advance! / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”

Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 50-mile radius.

From the local contacted volunteers in the area, we had two who jumped in immediately, taking over the recovery and engaging themselves to help Krissi.

Both volunteers coordinated the recovery and travel toward the requester. The cell reception in this area was pretty bad, and by the time the volunteers made it to the requester, he had already managed to free himself.

We still want to thank both volunteers who took time out of their day to go help a stranger in need. We are always amazed by our volunteers’ dedication. You guys are amazing.
