Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, at 4:56 p.m. (ET), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in South Carolina. The requester, Andy Bean, submitted the following information: “Got my skid steer stuck, then my truck stuck trying to free the skid steer. Both are in the mud. / I’m with the vehicle.”
We contacted Andy and verified the contact information, location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers within a 40-mile radius.
By 5:30 p.m., we had a dozen volunteers responding to our invitation. The requester also asked for help online. From the respondents, we had Charles Phillips and Jay Andersen offered to help later.
By 7:50 p.m., the requester, who was invited to our chat room, updated us, Billy Seprish, from the Lowcountry Krawlers was able to get his vehicles out.
