Friday, July 12, 2024, at 3:45 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Arkansas. The requester, Mark Poole, submitted the following information: “I’m stuck with my rav4 and need assistance. I was going down.the trail and the front went down in a hole about 3′ deep. I’m about a quarter mile down the right of the Bradford easy loop just south of Devils den Park in Arkansas. Near Chester./ I’m with the vehicle.”
We contacted Mark and verified his contact information, GPS location, and situation before submitting the request to volunteers within a 70-mile radius.
By 5:00 p.m., the ticket had already been submitted to local volunteers, and by 5:50 p.m., we had James Peronia, a member of our system and also a member of the group Mud Hogs Jeep Club, Harrison Chapter, taking over the request. He contacted two members of their local chapter, Becca and Randy and they took care of the request. By 7:20 p.m., the recovery was completed and James closed the ticket on our system.
James later sent us a quick note and a photo to share here: “My crew said he was definitely in a bind hole was 3’+ deep and the rig was bordering on flipping over. He was recovered and sent on his way. Glad we could help Mud Hogs Jeep Club NWA/Harrison“
