Friday, February 13rd, 2026, at 12:18 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Oregon. The requester, River Perry, submitted the following information: “Toyota Land Cruiser stuck in deep mud right off of the road, deflated tires, but still wouldn’t help. Rear wheels are on solid ground, but front tires are keeping us from getting onto the road again. / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 35-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers we had Mike Haviland and Mike Eicher temaing up to take care of this request. They both marked themselves as engaging and starting getting ready in minutes. They were both a couple hours away from the incident.
A few hours later we heard from Mike H. they were able to recovery the vehicle. Later Mike H. sent us an email with a couple photos we share below and a quick note.
From Mike H.
Mike and I met near highway 210 and succor creek road, then cruised in. The road wasn’t too muddy, but had mud holes in places. We got to the client within about 40 min, decided to keep my suburban on standby since it had a winch, and drive Mikes f350 around the mud to get to the land cruiser. A few easy tugs on a kinetic rope, a little help from the cruiser, and they popped out. We hung out and talked for a little while, checked out the rhd diesel cruiser, then hit the road. Easy recovery!

We want to thank both, Mike Haviland and Mike Eicher, you guys were amazing.
