Thursday, April 9th, 2026, at 8:57 p.m. (ET), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Pennsylvania. The requester, Ben Weisman, submitted the following information: “01′ xj 8″ lift on 38s” Locker failed. Winch failed. Recovery points both front and rear. Buried up to axels/rock sliders. Located on authorized/non-posted PPL ROW and public land. Swamp/Marsh with fair amount of sporadic dryer land. Rear end: Approx 150′ from where it starts to get squirrelly. Front end: Approx 200’+ from better conditions. / I’m with the vehicle”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 35-mile radius.

We had a few volunteers trying to find the time go help in this request, but before we found one we had Mason Byrd, a local volunteer who connected with the requester and took care of the request.
We want to thank all volunteers who responded to the call for help. We also want to thank Mason for taking care of this request.
