Friday, June 6th, 2025, at 4:44 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Washington. The requester, Jonathan Funk, submitted the following information: “BMW 1250GSA off the road at 47.40578, -123.66290. Road is spur road off of NF-2293, West Fork Big Creek, at the first rock slide. Just off to the left. / I’m not with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 50-mile radius.
From the group of contact volunteers, we Benjamin Thompson, a member of WORN taking over the recovery and coordinating with some local volunteers to get the vehicle back on the road.

The same day in the afternoon, a couple vehicles were sent by WORN, by 8:00 p.m. the motorcycle was recovered.
