Monday, May 12, 2025, at 11:52 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Alabama. The requester, Kaylie C., submitted the following information: “1142 westpoint , chicken houses through the pasture down old trail two trucks and a tractor if we could just get one truck out we could get em all out / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 25-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers we had Lisa M. and Matthew Gibson taking over the recovery with some friends who were able to recover the vehicles.
This recovery was done in several parts, there were broken parts on Lisa’s vehicle. Overall based on Lisa’s description it was pretty messy. She was very thankful for Matt’s help. Matt even lend Lisa a truck until her Jeep was repaired.

This recovery was completed with the help of several people. We want to give a special recognition to Freeman and his sons Joshua and Daniel for bring the tractor and assisting with the recovery of Lisa’s jeep.
Thanks to everybody who participated and helped in this recovery. You guys rock.
