My CV axle snapped

My CV axle snapped

Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at 7:46 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Oregon. The requester, Kaleb Gogas, submitted the following information: “It’s a 2006 Silverado 2500hd Duramax 4X4 I’m not high centered yet but if I keep trying to get out I will be, my cv axle snapped so I lost 4wd and got stuck. 2000 feet from the entrance, at just 20 feet from the tide. Urgent help needed. He contact the police they didn’t have a vehicle capable of help him. It’s the beach dead ahead from when you go all the way to the bottom of sparrow park RD. / I’m with the vehicle”

Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 25-mile radius.

From the group of volunteers we contacted, we got Cory Monroe taking over the request, marking himself as engaging and heading over to save the day a few hours later after the release of the ticket.

He later sent us a quick note where he explained, after recovering the vehicle, since the vehicle was in limp mode, he took the driver and the wife back to the family.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Cory for providing such an exceptional service. As always, our volunteers are more than willing to assist in any situation that may arise.
