Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, at 9:07 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Washington. The requester, Kevin Estrada , submitted the following information: “I need help getting the vehicle down to the road or pulled up the hill / I’m not with the vehicle.”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 25-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers, we had Benjamin Thompson, an admin for WORN, who coordinated with us and set up a team to take action as soon as the same evening.

The team arrived around 9 p.m., Benjamin updated us: “The team is giving up for tonight, trying to get their vehicles out and the requester to somewhere safe. The vehicle is down a 30-45 degree hill about 300+ yards. The vehicle is low|out of gas, and full of camping supplies.”
A few hours later, Benjamin announced on our page that WORN had another team going to complete the job.
As always, we want to express our gratitude to our friends from WORN, particularly Benjamin, for being such a valuable ally.
