Monday, August 26th, 2024, at 10:26 a.m. (ET), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in New York. The requester, Armand Quiroz, submitted the following information: “Harry Wells Rd, Rivian R1T 4 wheel drive stuck in deep mud in private backyard. It’s about 10ft from the solid ground (grass) and 30-40ft from the blacktop, but there’s a garage in between. I tried contacting a decent number of towing companies but had no luck. / I’m with the vehicle“
We contacted the requester and verified the contact information, situation, and GPS location before sending the offroad recovery in New York to local volunteers within a 45-mile radius.
Within the first minute of submitting the request to volunteers, we got Liam Quackenbush announcing he was available in the afternoon. Later, he marked himself engaging, contacted the requester, and headed over to recover the vehicle. By 4:00 p.m., he had completed the recovery.
He later sent us a few photos and a quick note we shared below. (offroad recovery in New York)
From Liam:
Everything was how the customer described it. I used my kinetic rope, took a few tugs, and he was out. Rivian Electric pickup weighing around 8000 lbs. ADK Jeepers recovery.
We want to thank Liam for taking care of this request. Awesome job!
