Sequoia stranded near greasy spoon rd

Sunday, May 28th, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. (PDT), our system received a request for help with an offroad recovery of a Toyota Sequoia that was stuck, high center on the side of the road in Oregon near the Fishhawk Lake Reserve. Mackenzie Janzen, the requester, sent the following description: “Near greasy spoon road, 2008 Toyota Sequoia (blue), Idaho plates, all tires on the ground but the car is tilted with two tires on the drivers side down an incline and two tires on the passenger side on a gravel road. Just need help pulling it forward onto the road. It will not need to be towed. I have family with the vehicle, but I am not there. Thank you so much for reading. / I’m not with the vehicle

We verified the information with Mackenzie, and a few minutes later we had the request submitted to local volunteers. At 7:59 p.m., we had Jared Cubbage taking over the recovery. Initially, a few volunteers were getting ready to assist first thing in the morning, but Jared decided to go solo and take care of the request a night. 3

By 8:41 p.m., the ticket was closed once we were told the vehicle was back on the road. Jared later sent us a short video showing how he hooked the Sequoia from the back to pull it out of the ditch.

Jared, thanks; your prompt help was much appreciated. \
