Stuck in sand

Friday, March 21st, 2025, at 8:21 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in California. The requester, Michael Anthony Rodriguez, submitted the following information: “4×4 Tahoe tried to dig it out wasn’t working / I’m with the vehicle”

Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 20-mile radius.

Within minutes from the group of contact volunteers we had Joe Mciver taking over the recovery.

By 9:50 Joe closed the request and sent us a photo and a quick note: It was really just a simple winch out high centered and to much throttle so tires dug holes. As per tricks and tips, I just don’t go alone if possible. Always have another vehicle with you, know what your getting into and have gear to self recovery and a winch too.

We want to thank Joe for a great job. As always, our volunteers are always saving the day.
