Sunday, March 31st, 2024, at 8:44 a.m. (MT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Colorado. The requester, Logan Howe, submitted the following information: “Two vehicles buried in snow / I’m with the vehicle.“
After verifying the location, contact information, and situation, we submitted the request to local volunteers within a 30-mile radius.
Within 20 minutes of receiving the request, we had two volunteers taking over, Blais Eisenbrandt and Curt Boyll. Blais started to hit the trail by 10:00 a.m., and by 11:30 Curt joined.
Curt later sent us this quick note since we didn’t receive much more information: “On this one, I didn’t even make it to the stranded vehicles. Blais and his friend Cody did, but they kept getting stuck in the deep snow. Another guy on 41’s with two winches took over the recovery. I think he was there because of a Facebook post. All I have are a couple of photos of the deeply rutted, snow-covered trail we were driving on for our way out.“
