Stuck in snow

Sunday, November 24th, 2024, at 6:26 p.m. (MT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Montana. The requester, Dj Pilcher, submitted the following information: “Stock 2014 ram 1500. Truck is on a slight slope, stuck in snow, and truck is stuck in park. Winches and snatch blocks should get the truck unstuck. My name is wade, I am making this ticket for DJ, as he does not have good enough service to load the website. I am en route to him to help with getting the truck out of park, but probably will not be able to get him out. / I’m with the vehicle“

Our administrator, David Mrak, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 45-mile radius.

From the group of volunteers contacted, Trask Wyman stepped up to handle the recovery. Within an hour of the request being submitted, Trask was ready to assist.

Several other volunteers also offered to serve as backups for Trask in case additional help was needed.

Wade Brooks, another volunteer, helped coordinate this request. As someone familiar with the requester, he submitted the request on their behalf.

By around midnight, the request was successfully resolved—Trask got them out. While we haven’t received much detailed information from Trask about the recovery, we wanted to share what we know and extend our gratitude for his efforts. Awesome job, Trask! (offroad recovery in Montana)
