Truck got stuck in the sand

Sunday, August 17th, 2025, at 5:47 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in California. The requester, Tarashira Bunn, submitted the following information: “I tried to turn around in the parking lot and half of my truck got stuck in the sand I have my 6 year old son with me and the beach is closing soon I need help / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”

Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 20-mile radius.

Once the ticket was released to local volunteers, within the first 5 minutes, we got Harout Semerjyan, taking over the recovery. He was 35 miles away. He marked himself as engaging and contacted the requester.

Within the hour he arrived, found the requester but ran into some trouble gaining access to where the vehicle was. Luckily the requester was able to speak with a security guard who allow Harout to get back where the vehicle was. Harout shared later, a single pull did the trick.

We want to thank Harout for such a great job.
