Friday, July 26th, 2024, at 8:34 a.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in California. The requester, Andrew Donnelly, submitted the following information: “It is off one of the side trails going up the peak. It is on a thin trail sand was to soft and it’s against a tree. Trucks runs I have the keys with me. / I’m not with the vehicle.”
A few minutes after receiving the request, we contacted Andrew and verified the GPS location and contact information before submitting the request to local volunteers within a 50-mile radius.
The ticket was opened for the day, and also shared with 775 Offroad Recovery. We kept looking for volunteers, and we coordinated with Andrew. The following morning we had a group of volunteers who were able to get to Andrew and were able to recover the vehicle safely. These guys were from 775 Offroad Recovery.
