Saturday at 9:45 a.m., Christina submitted a recovery request in our web app. In the notes, she explained they were getting wood from a private property with permission when their jeep got stuck in the mud, and because of the steep terrain, they couldn’t get it back on the road.
After we verified with Christina the current situation, we submitted the ticket to a group of volunteers in Lane county. We were looking for volunteers with winches, high level of experience to form a team of at least two vehicles.
We invited around 25 volunteers to the lobby.
By 10:50 a.m., we already had two engaged volunteers and three standing-by.
The two engaged were Terrance Hestdalen and Wayne Baker. By 11:30 a.m., they were headed. I coordinated with Christina, and she confirmed somebody would be meeting them by the gate.
The following photos were provided by Christina and Wayne.
On Facebook Wayne commented, “Long-winded recovery of the red Jeep. Two recovery vehicles, three winches, many straps, and shackles. Completed with no damage. Fun day playing in the mud.”
Wayne and Terrance did an awesome job and they finished by 4 p.m.
