Thursday, March 21st, 2024, at 10:16 a.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Mississippi. The requester, Tyler Yedlin, submitted the following information: “I have a 2007 Chevy 1500 hd on 6″ lift sitting on 37″ inch tires my 4×4 doesn’t work rn as my driver’s side cc axle was removed. My back end is sitting in sand and dug a hole. I tried to bridge under it with logs but it’s jumps / I’m with the vehicle.”
David Mrak verified the contact information, location, and situation. He sent the request to local volunteers within 85 miles. This area is sort of a black hole for volunteers; we have very few.
The request was opened for a few hours. Later around 5:00 p.m., the requester updated us, he was able to flag another driver who got him out.
