Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, at 5:51 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in California. The requester, Pamela Iwaniuk, submitted the following information: “Ford van white and white Chevy truck, it’s sandy / I’m with the vehicle.”
After receiving the request, we contacted Pamela and confirmed her contact information, GPS location, and situation before submitting the request to local volunteers within a 35-mile radius.
In this area, we have Edie Kochara, who always coordinates his recovery group and helps us. This recovery was no exception. Just a few minutes after sharing with volunteers, we had Eddie and Bill Scott taking over the request.
Bill arrived first and got the vehicles out, and Eddie was going toward Bill to serve as backup. By the time Eddie arrived, Bill had finished pulling the rigs.
We haven’t got much information from Bill, but we still want to thank both Bill and Eddie for helping as always. You guys have an amazing group of volunteers.
