Thursday, August 8th, 2024, at 11:01 p.m. (MT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in South Dakota. The requester, Anthony J Roberts, submitted the following information: “Stuck in the mud pit, 2007 Ford F150 / I’m with the vehicle”.
We received this request, and just a few minutes later, we were passing the request to local volunteers within a 155-mile radius. South Dakota is one of those areas where we still have very scarce volunteers today. Even though the distance was large, we had a volunteer willing to go the following day and drive 150 miles each way to help a stranger. Luckily, we spoke with Anthony, and he was able to get local help the following day.
