Toyota Tacoma framed out in gumbo

Monday, October 7th, 2024, at 5:08 p.m. (ET), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Georgia. The requester, Joe Spade, submitted the following information: “Off of a dirt road four-wheel-drive to Toyota Tacoma framed out in gumbo about 100 yards or so off-road need heavy chain to pull from the road or somebody to come in and yank me out The picture without truck is the entrance point / I’m with the vehicle“

Our administrator, David Mrak, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within an 85-mile radius.

In a few hours, Matt Mckinzie from Off Road Recoveries LLC, a local towing service that volunteers with us, helped with this request. (Since this recovery back in October, they now moved to Arkansas)

By 1:00 p.m., they got the vehicle out. We want to thank Matt and the volunteers involved on getting the vehicle out. Awesome job. (offroad recovery in Georgia)
