Friday, March 28th, 2025, at 3:19 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Kansas. The requester, Timothy K Rihner, submitted the following information: “Ford expedition stuck in sand. Need to be pulled backwards. Have hitch / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, David Mrak, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 155-mile radius.
We don’t have many details about this recovery, but we know Ausin Carter, a local volunteer marked himself as engaging and later on closed the request 3 hours later. With the vehicle recovered.
