Tuesday, October 14th, 2025, at 12:56 p.m. (ET), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in South Carolina. The requester, Greenwell Christopher, submitted the following information: “Ram 1500 off road. Dug it out once. Got only a few feet. The ground is too wet all around. Even low w lock and wires down before I hit it. Have kinectic line and recovery gear w me. See photo for gps coordinates. My turn to get rescued today, Would really appreciate it. Also with dog. Harleston dam and west Hampton area / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, David Mrak, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 30-mile radius.
We had a few volunteers who were available to help a little bit later, but luckily, the requester was able to find help from the Palmetto Adventure group in facebook. Josh from this group was able to get him out with one pull.
We still want to thank all the volunteers who responded, and those from Palmetto Adventure group who saved the day!
