Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at 9:49 a.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Washington. The requester, Joe York, submitted the following information: “Kawasaki Side by side high centered in snow. I was unable to get dug out. Walked back down to my truck. Vehicle is left abandoned.
From highway 131 turn left onto Cispus Rd. Follow that road, then turn right to stay on Cispus Rd, follow signs toward Cispus Learning Center. At the intersection between Cispus Rd and NF-28 continue straight onto NF-28. From there continue about 19 miles to the side-by-side. / I’m not with the vehicle”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 50-mile radius.
We also shared this request with WORN who promptly formed a team and started working on this request. They had some communications issues with the requester, but finally the recovery was completed a few hours later. As always the guys from WORN excelled at helping folks in WA. We love working with these guys. Also we want to thank Benjamin, who is an amazing administrator and coordinator between WORN and us.
