Monday, May 18th, 2026, at 9:58 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Iowa. The requester, Tyler Sterk, submitted the following information: “The truck is stuck on a level B road and the name of the road is vintage road. It’s buried up to its front bumper in clay and the road is very slick with deep ruts on each side / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 110-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers we had Nick Wadle who contacted the requester and coordinated with a friend, Jason who was actually the one performing the recovery.
We don’t have much information about the request, but we still want to thank Nick and Jason. You guys made this happened.
