Wednesday, February 21st, 2024, at 9:50 a.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Rabbit Lake, California. The requester, Joe Perry, submitted the following information: “I am nearly buried in the mud at Rabbit Lake in a white Ford F250 4×4 with a slide-in camper. I am a cardiac patient, and I am unable to dig or use my high lift jack, unfortunately. / I’m with the vehicle.“
Immediately after receiving the request, we started chatting with Joe to gather more information and confirm his exact GPS location. Once everything was checked out, we submitted the request to local volunteers.
By 10:10 a.m., we started the conversation in our lobby with local volunteers; by 10:35 a.m., we had Debi Oconell taking over the request.
By 12:20 p.m., Debi closed the request and got Joe free. Awesome job, Debi, you saved the day. Also, thanks to Eddie Kochara, who was always behind, helping and coordinating.
