Currently stuck and slid a little sideways

Sunday, May 3rd, 2026, at 7:03 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Washington. The requester, Jake Bourdages, submitted the following information: “2002 dodge Dakota white with a red cap currently stuck and slid a little sideways unable to obtain enough grip and traction on the silt. Vehicle is a 2 wheel, rear drive. / I’m with the vehicle”

Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 45-mile radius.

From the group of contacted volunteers, we had Hunter Hughes taking over this request. He was 50+ miles away and willing to go. Just a few minutes after releasing the ticket to volunteers, we had Hunter heading over. We also had Benjamin from Worn offering to provide support if we required it.

At around 7:00 p.m., Hunter gave us a few updates. At first he struggle to get the vehicle to move up, the vehicle kept sliding toward the side of the hill. Hunter requested extra help, then we lost communication with the requester for a good hour, when he returned, to the chatroom around 8:00 p.m, he announced he managed to get the vehicle out and safe. By 9:00 p.m. the recovery was completed.

We want to express our gratitude to Hunter for his exceptional work and unwavering dedication in completing this task. Also thanks to Benjamin for keeping an eye as always in case the volunteer needed extra help.
