Friday, January 2, 2026, at 10:08 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in California. The requester, Tyler Meza, submitted the following information: “Pinnacle road, off 178 freeway (Trona Road). About a mile into pinnacle road. Red Ram Promaster. Front wheel stuck in mud. Go into pinnacle road continue straight for a mile. / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 55-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers we had Ivan Amerson taking over this request. Not less than an hour later, Ivan made it to the location of the request, and took care with just a single yank.
