Tuesday, February 25th, 2025, at 2:56 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery near Klamath Falls in Oregon. The requester, Rebecca George, submitted the following information: “I was going to check out a property that I am purchasing, but I overestimated my truck’s snow capabilities and got stuck right as I turned down the road. I’m driving a 4×4 Tacoma. I’m about 1000 feet from solid ground. Snow is not bad, I just can’t get any grip. I can’t deflate because I don’t have a tire pressure device./ I’m with the vehicle.“
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, the GPS location, and the current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular offroad recovery near Klamath Falls, we contacted volunteers within a 25-mile radius.
Out of the volunteers we reached out to, it was our usual suspect, Marc Estep—back at it again like the reliable repeat offender he is 😄—who stepped up and took the request!
Marc was about 90 minutes away, and as soon as he got in touch with Rebecca, he hit the road in her direction. By 3:50 p.m., he had successfully recovered the vehicle and closed out the request. He also sent us a few photos, which we’ve shared below. Marc used his winch to pull the vehicle backwards to where it could drive on its own power out of it.

As always, Marc continues to be an incredible resource in the area. He’s a joy to work with and always ready to lend a helping hand with offroad recovery near Klamath Falls!
