Monday, May 18th, 2026, at 10:11 p.m. (ET), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Indiana. The requester, Dan Bollman, submitted the following information: “Jeep stuck at bottom of hill in woods on back of my property it is in an open area but very wet…a tow out of rut may do it…2-3 inches off rain tonight so very wet conditions vehicle is a 2017 Jeep JK Tow hooks on front / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, David Mrak, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 35-mile radius.
In this particular case, the following day, we had David not only administering the recovery but also taking over the recovery request and jumping himself into action. Performing the recovery in the afternoon, David was 160 miles from this request.
We truly appreciate David’s job on this recovery. As always David goes always above and beyond.
