Sunday, March 1st, 2026, at 9:34 a.m. (ET), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Massachusetts. The requester, Evan Smith, submitted the following information: “Stuck in the snow likely an easy pull. / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, David Mrak, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 30-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers we had Chris Santarcangelo, marking himself as engaging and announcing he was on his way, but minutes later the requester Evan, informed in our lobby, he was able to get the vehicle free himself.
We still want to express our gratitude to Chris for offering assistance and taking the initiative to drive toward Evan. Thank you, Chris.
