Saturday, February 8th, 2025, at 2:01 a.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Alabama. The requester, Mitch Smith, submitted the following information: “Mud – 4×4 – just spinning – very slick bog – 12 feet and on solid ground – liberty park – public road came through 459 way…off old Overton – think it’s cherry street – call and I can give exact location 2059747794. Many Thanks! / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, David Mrak, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 15-mile radius.
Within 5 minutes of releasing the request to volunteers we had Austin Hooks taking over the recovery, marking himself as engaging and headed over inmediately.
No more than one hour later, Austin closed the request. He got them out.

We want to thank Austin for such quick and great job and also all other volunteers in the area who responded to the call in this offroad recovery in Alabama.
