Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 6:08 a.m. (MT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Colorado. The requester, Dan Russ, submitted the following information: “Tried turning around on 314 but slid partially down a hill. It’s still near the road but the car can’t get traction to get back up. No problem waiting until morning if somebody could help out then / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, David Mrak, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 15-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers we had Jeff Dunn, who in less than 90 minutes was able to travel around 30 miles, and got him out sending us a few photos later we share below.

We want to thank Jeff, for helping on this offroad recovery in Colorado. Awesome job!
