Ford Expedition 4×4 stuck in snow

Ford Expedition 4×4 stuck in snow

Tuesday, February 11st, 2025, at 3:33 a.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Oregon. The requester, Matthew Aldridge, submitted the following information: “Blue Ford expedition 4×4 stuck in snow just of cascade lakes hwy / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”

Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 10-mile radius.

Within four minutes of submitting the request, we had initially received a response from Matthew Wright, who marked himself as engaging. However, almost immediately after, we received a response from Tim Kemper, who was slightly closer to the target. Therefore, Matthew decided to let Tim take over the task.

Matthew also kept checking with the requester, and updated our lobby when Tim arrived. The recovery was pretty straight forward. By 11:00 p.m., the request was completed.

Tim Notes:

Pulled him out of a high center snow situation. His Suburban weighed a bit more than my 4Runner so I had to bump him a bunch of times with the dynamic rope attached to a winch extension line. On the drive home my truck said it was -9F. Very well could have been the coldest day of the year. Nice guy, I hope he get the job he came down to interview for.

We just wanted to give a big shoutout to Matthew and Tim! Tim did all the heavy lifting, but Matthew was always ready to lend a hand if needed. They both did an amazing job!
