Sunday, June 29th, 2025, at 4:56 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Texas. The requester, Rachel Lichtenberger, submitted the following information: “2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee-All Wheel Drive-The area it is stuck in is muddy. The ground is completely soaked. The paved driveway is about 150 yards. The ground is stable about 20-25 feet. / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 30-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers, Brett Henderson marked himself as engaging and jumped into action taking care of this recovery.
By midnight, the ticket was closed. Brett shared a quick note in our lobby: “The vehicle was recovered with no damage other than the yard 🤘”
