Sunday, February 9th, 2025, at 4:48 a.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Washington. The requester, Jordan Lederman, submitted the following information: “Jeep wrangler and Toyota 4Runner stuck in the snow on Easton powerlines / I’m with the vehicle”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 45-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers, we had two en route within 10 minutes—Corey and Heather Weider—who were about an hour away. Unfortunately, the requester failed to inform us that they had also contacted a towing service. By the time our volunteers arrived, the tow truck was already on site and pulling the vehicles out.

It’s disheartening when people requesting help don’t consider the time and effort our volunteers commit—especially when they’ve already decided to pursue another solution and don’t communicate that. A quick message would have saved our team a lot of time and energy.
We still got a quick not from Heather with some photos. Thanks Heather!.
From Heather:
When we arrived to the requestor, Roslyn Towing was on the scene. He typically won’t take an off road job, but came up all the same. Needless to say, we just sat as back up. Both vehicles were pulled out without much excitement.

Gorgeous day in the mountains, well worth the drive. We ended up getting pinged and were able to help for a more complex WORN recovery on our way home. Thank you for the decal offer. We are here in Snoqualmie, local to the pass and happy to help when needed. Be have a Bronco on 35’s with winch, full recovery gear (soft shackles, snatch block, tree saver, kinetic rope) onboard compressor, bottle jack, roto packs with fuel, tools, hand warmers & blankets.
