Stuck in Gil Pond without a winch

Friday, November 10th, 2023, at 1:05 p.m. (PT), we received a request for an offroad recovery in Oregon near Hood River. The requester, Ryder Talbert, submitted the following information: “Stuck in Gil pond without a winch. The road conditions are muddy wet and there are gnarly speed bumps that can and will mess up your rig if your not careful. I am with the vehicle and it got stuck after my buddy tried to drive through full pond. / I’m with the vehicle“.

We verified the request’s location and submitted the request to local volunteers. A few minutes later we got Tad Johnston getting ready to go. But a few minutes before Jordan from The Gorge Off Road and Recovery took care of the recovery and got them out.
