Wednesday, January 03, 2024, at 3:47 p.m. (PT), we received a request for a request for an offroad recovery in California. The requester, Kathryn Valley, submitted the following information: “Stuck on Clark’s Grade in a dodge tax. The truck is not damaged, just stuck / I’m with the vehicle.“
We contacted Kathryn right away, and once we confirmed the location and got a photo from her, we started looking for volunteers.
Of the volunteers who responded, one contacted the requester, Brandon Hawkins, a local volunteer 25 miles away from the incident.
He started to coordinate and offer help, but the requester announced they had found a friend who could assist, so we paused the active request and told Kathryn to let us know once she got out so we could close the request completely. The volunteers were informed, and later, by 5:00 p.m., we closed the request.
We still want to thank Brandon and all the other volunteers who immediately started to share the request with local groups and friends for offering help. (offroad recovery in California / California 4×4 rescue)
